somethings unpredictable but it’s your life have a good time

OF COURSE WE HOPE YOU HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE

Green Day’s (written by. Michael Pritchard, Frank Wright III and Billy Joe Armstrong) classic “Good Riddance/ time of your life”  is a Rock n’ Roll Philosophy  seasy pick.  If the listener/reader doesn’t see a life philosophy in this one....well maybe  I should  be writing about. Disney Classics, however I couldn’t afford the royalties nor. Could I go justice to any covers to avoid  the long arm of Mickey Mouse.
So with  little further ado...
Good Riddance/The time of Your Life

Another. Turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the writsts directs you where to go
So make the best of the test and don’t ask why
It’s not a question but an lesson learned in time
It’s something unpredictable
But in the end it’s right
I hope you had the time of your life

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind Hang it on the shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what its worth its worth all the while
It’s something unpredictable  but in the end it’s right
I hope you had the time of your  life

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right
I hope you had the time of your life

PHILOSOPHY

Since it’s a relatively  short song, I’ll keep the analysis relatively long.  I bet you thought I was going to say short—right?  Well it will be.. I’m just fooling around a bit.

There are two overarching. Philosophical  themes a in. This song.  First time moves us forward in life and we will  need to make choices that put us on one path or another without  always knowing why because  while  you can ask that as a question it in fact is  a lesson that reveals itself through  the living of experiences.  That brings  us to the second theme.   This song is about  experiences and collecting them and being hopeful that people recognize their value as they are being lived and remembered.  The title “good riddance” reminds us that some  experiences  can  be learned from and then the unusable parts of them can be abandoned or left behind.  The song’s chorus reminds us that  there’s going. To be some adventurous  unpredictable  aspects to our life’s journey, however, for the most part the experiences are there to  inspire us to learn the right lessons and build  the right meanings.
To summarize it’s a short little  meaningful tune and it makes the. Rock n’ Roll Philosophy standards with ease.

Just. For fun the link below is  my one-take  cover that will probably get pulled off YouTube...so listen quick or not...don’t let life. Grab you by the wrist lol.
